Antonio Ainscough
Antonio Ainscough (born 1997), who also exhibits as AJ Ainscough, is a Chicago-based pop surrealist painter. In 2023 he presented Drawn Together, his first solo exhibition with Bruno David Gallery.
Antonio Ainscough is a painter focused on exploring themes of identity, relationships, and self discovery through the use of autobiographical characters. His cartoonish figures capture the essence of human experiences in a way that is both playful and profound, all while infusing a sense of humor and whimsy.
He received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Eastern Illinois University in 2020.
Ainscough exhibited in numerous group shows both across the US and internationally. Some of which include Chicago, Colorado, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
