DANIEL RAEDEKE

OUTSIDE

January 16 - February 21, 2026 | OPENING: Friday, January 16, 2026 | 6-8 pm

Bruno David is pleased to announce OUTSIDE, an exhibition of new paintings by Artist Daniel Raedeke. This is Raedeke’s sixth solo exhibition at Bruno David Gallery. In conjunction with the exhibition, Bruno David Gallery will publish a catalogue of the artist’s work featuring an in-depth exhibition history and bibliography.

Outside explores the boundary between the world we picture and the world beyond the screen. Inspired by a childhood assignment to collage local birds and flowers for a school nature trip, Daniel Raedeke returns to this early translation of landscape—now filtered through digital media, animation, and interface design. His paintings borrow the bright clarity of cartoons and the layering of early animation techniques, collapsing real habitats into friendly, poster-like “content containers.” Outside asks what happens when nature becomes easier to scroll past than to step into.

Raedeke received his MFA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. Raedeke lives and collaborates with his artist wife Dionna Raedeke in St. Louis, Missouri where he is a public-school art teacher. Raedeke's work has been exhibited in numerous one-person and group exhibitions at venues including Laumeier Sculpture Park, Ontario College of Art and Design, Virginia Commonwealth University, White Flag Projects, and the Granite City Art and Design District.
